Interval Training on Mini Trampolines

An example of interval training with a mini trampoline is as follows:

Start a low, slow bounce with both feet for a few minutes while you warm up. For those advanced interval trainers, doing some dumbbell exercises before getting on the trampoline will increase the effects. Begin a slow jog, the same movement that you would use if you were actually jogging down the street. Once you are comfortable increase the pace for sixty seconds. This pace does not have to be at top speed but should be fast enough that you cannot talk easily.

This will be a hard sixty seconds. Then stop and bounce gently for two minutes to cool down and bring your heart rate down. Repeat the process. Sixty seconds of high intensity and two minutes of cool down. Do this for ten minutes to have a short but high intensity workout.

Mini trampoline exercise is not as monotonous as running on the treadmill or riding that stationary bike to nowhere. Concentrating on doing different drills with your mini trampoline keeps your mind off your heavy breathing and helps to maintain momentum for fantastic results.

Trampoline games guaranteed to be fun for children and adults. Here are 3 you can play on a trampoline.

HORSE - Similar to the basketball game but instead of calling shots you call trampoline tricks.

One person starts with a trick they verbally pick out. You can pick the person or take turns being the first to go. If the first person completes the trick as said then the next person must copy it and so on. If they cannot do the trick then they get an H. For each failed attempt they add another letter to the word HORSE. The player is out when all letters have been spelled.

The leader keeps doing tricks until they mess up. If they mess up then the next person in line becomes the leader and gets to call the tricks. You do not get a letter if you are a leader and fail your own trick.

HORSE is a fun game to play with a group of people, and can get pretty competitive and risky the better you are at trampolining.

Monkey in the Middle - Played in a group. Everyone takes turns being the monkey. The monkey sits in the middle with their arms around their legs. Everyone else surrounds the monkey in the circle. The object of the game is to get the monkey to let go of their legs, so those in the circle will jump up and down to accomplish this.

Head Tap- This game is a free for all. The objective is to touch the top of the head of other players 3 times to eliminate them. You can set ground rules like 'no arm pulling' or 'tripping' but that is up to you. Its fun with rules and without.
